Among the published information, some of the most popular features are the so-called “perfect campervan spots,” defined by users themselves as “places to sleep peacefully in your vehicle, without the risk of being reported, and ideally in a beautiful setting with places to visit.” Now, all these locations can be accessed through the Furgo Perfectos mobile app, available for iOS and Android.

There are two ways to find these places using the app : by scrolling through a map or by typing the name of a nearby town into the search bar. Clicking on each location displays detailed information: the exact coordinates, whether it’s free, the exact price if it’s paid, nearby points of interest, and leisure activities available in the area (such as windsurfing , kitesurfing , hiking, or visiting a nature park). Everything is accessible without registration, but if a user wants to add a new location that hasn’t yet been shared in the app, they need to create a profile.

Besides campervan-friendly spots, this app also helps you locate areas where camping is permitted, in addition to parking. In total, there are more than 5,700 locations, mostly in Europe, which can also be accessed offline after downloading the app to your device from a location with an internet connection.

Park4night

Launched in January 2011, Park4night is a French platform very similar to Firgovw.org, with a mobile app for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices. Like Firgovw.org, it allows users to locate campsites and rest areas for motorhomes without registration, although creating a profile is required to add one of these locations.

Offline search is another feature of Park4night, but it’s only available to Pro users, who can access it with a subscription of €1.99 per month or €9.99 per year. This paid version also allows you to search for routes between two specific points.

CaraMaps

Another French option for those who enjoy this type of tourism is CaraMaps, a startup founded in 2015 by three young entrepreneurs, which offers apps for iOS and Android devices. This initiative has compiled nearly 45,000 locations across Europe for motorhomes, caravans, and campervans, including service areas, campsites , parking lots, and private areas. Unlike the previous option, however, all its services are free, including offline navigation.

Its operation is the simplest of all the apps in this article: simply type the place you want to go into a search bar and apply advanced filters to the results with details of what you want to find at that location: electricity, swimming pool, Wi-Fi, parking… Once you have selected the most suitable place, CaraMaps shows all the details of it and indicates the route to follow to reach it, with options such as “Avoid highways” and “Avoid tolls”.

Another distinctive feature of this application is its social component, as it integrates a chat function (called Geochat) that allows users to connect with other nearby users to have conversations and resolve doubts or meet people with whom to share activities near their location. However, to chat, you need to be a member of the community, which simply requires registering with your first and last name and providing an email address.

Campercontact

Created by NKC, a Dutch campervan tourism club, Campercontact is an iOS and Android app that provides information on nearly 26,000 service areas, parking lots and campsites for motorhomes in 51 countries, mainly in Europe.

However, the free version only displays 10% of that database, so finding a place to rest is often difficult. To access all the information, a subscription of €5.99 per year is required, although the app does offer a seven-day free trial to test all its services. Furthermore, if you don’t want to pay, you can also access the Campercontact website from your mobile device (with an internet connection), which offers the same features as the paid version of the app for free.

Motorhomes: On the Road

This iOS and Android app is a service that Editorial Peldaño is adding to the Autocaravanas.es community, which has over 90,000 users. The app provides free access to places to park and stay overnight in Spain and 17 other European countries, with complete information about their location and available services.

Among other features, the app allows users to search for places in a specific area, either by user selection or geolocation, automatically displaying the closest options. It also offers hundreds of routes and trips tailored for motorhome tourism.

Source: El País[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”black” border_width=”4″ css=”.vc_custom_1447760445886{margin-bottom: 29px !important;}”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_custom_heading text=”Sierra Nevada Motorhomes.” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1644407194841{margin-top: 4px !important;margin-bottom: 16px !important;}”][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1447760739186{margin-bottom: 16px !important;}”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][stm_post_meta_bottom][/vc_column][/vc_row]

The Tesla Model S isn’t the first truly autonomous car on the road and available for sale to the public.
